Carlee Perez - Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Lyrical
Carlee has been dancing since the age of seven. During her 12 years of dance training and competing she trained with numerous teacheres including Deborah Kaye, Julie Rhoton, Keri LaGrand, Ashley Barnett, Mark Haines, Rita Chenoweth and Kelly Lamoureux. She has also trained and taken master classes in jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, musical theater, lyrical and contemporary with Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, Wade Robson, Gregg Russell, Dee Caspary and Doug Caldwell. Carlee attended Deborah Kaye Dance Studio in Riverside and Inspirations Performing Arts Center in Moreno Valley, Caliornia where she competed as a soloist as well as in groups at both the regional and national level. She attended Ramona High School where she was a varsity cheerleader and performed in three musical productions as the lead dancer under the direction of Robin Spear. Carlee has been a dance instructor for the past 18 years. She has taught and choreographed all ages and levels here in California for Conlin Dance Academy, Corona Dance Academy, Danzana Dance Productions and Kristi's Forever Dancin'. While living in Washington for a few years she was also the competition team coordinator; lead choreographer and office manager for High Step Dance Academy. She has won numerous choreography, high point and most entertaining awards throughout the years. Carlee graduated from California Baptist University in 2003 with a B.A. in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood Development. Currently she works full time for UCR Extension as the Manager of Admissions; a position she has held for the past 10 years. She is a mother of three: 13 year old daughter Baylee who is also a dancer and competitor at KFD, and 10 and 8 year old boys, Jackson and Zachary. She has been married to her high school sweetheart Adrian for 15 years.
